1936 Delahaye 135S Race Car

Graham Galliers started hillclimbing when he was 17 years old in his own homebuilt Ford special.  This taster was to turn into a lifelong passion for classic and classic competition cars, from the Ford special he changed to a Mk 9 Cooper 500 and then to a Lotus 22.

Over the years he has purchased many interesting cars rebuilt them or been involved in the rebuilding and if competition cars driven them in hillclimbs and sprints. After a few seasons a new project has become more interesting and the older restoration sold on to a new home!

GG openly acknowledges that rebuilding the cars is as interesting as driving them in ‘anger’.  Now that retirement is in the offing he hopes that more time can be spent in the workshop with his ‘home grown’ team of friends who help and support him.  Jane Price his partner, gopher, tea girl, car polisher and co-driver of the car and trailer.  John Hollick and Gordon Francis both are very important members of the team and have been helping for 10 and 40 years respectively.
